Motorcyclist killed after colliding with 2 vehicles on I-75

A motorcyclist was killed after the driver collided with two vehicles on Interstate 75 in Wesley Chapel Tuesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

At 7:40 p.m., troopers said a 39-year-old Zephyrhills woman in a Kia Sportage was stopped in the outside lane on northbound I-75.

Just south of County Road 54, a 62-year-old New Port Richey man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle slammed into the Kia, as a Honda Pilot driver was merging into their outside lane.

FHP said the motorcycle also collided with the Honda, which was carrying a 34-year-old Wesley Chapel man, and his three passengers— a 36-year-old woman, an 8-year-old boy, and a 6-year-old girl.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Troopers said the drivers and passengers in the Kia and Honda were not injured during the crash.
