Motorcyclist killed in crash on Goldenrod Road after hitting truck

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Goldenrod Road early Friday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Goldenrod Road just south of Lake Underhill Road.

According to troopers, the motorcyclist was driving north on Goldenrod Road when they crashed into the back of a box truck that was slowing down and trying to make a right turn.

Drivers traveling in the area are being detoured through a Shell gas station parking lot.
