A man is dead after a crash on South Ponce De Leon Boulevard Wednesday afternoon, according to the St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
The crash happened at the intersection of S. Ponce De Leon Boulevard and State Road 207, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said.
SJCFR responded to the scene after receiving a call around 2:45 p.m. The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Southbound lanes of S. Ponce De Leon are blocked off as crews investigate.
Traffic is being diverted westbound on SR-207. Officials said traffic will be backed up in the area, and encourage drivers to seek alternate routes.
