A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into another car in Orange County on Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
According to a preliminary investigation by FHP, the biker was traveling westbound on Sadler Road, approaching Laughlin Road, around 6:20 a.m. when they attempted to pass stopped traffic.
Officials say a vehicle was stopped on the same road waiting to make a left turn when the motorcyclist came up from behind. As the car went to make the turn, the motorcyclist struck the side of the vehicle.
The biker, identified as an adult male by FHP, was pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP says the driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries and remained at the site of the crash.
Around 7:30 a.m., officials said there was a roadblock impacting both lanes of travel on Laughlin Road and Sadler Road. At this time, it is unclear when that roadblock will be cleared.
