A Naples landscaper is dead after being struck by a large tree branch 60 feet in the air.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a tree-trimming accident at 93 Caribbean Road on Saturday morning.
A large cut branch fell and struck the 22-year-old landscaper while in the tree, and they died.
According to the report, it took officials nearly two hours to remove the man’s deceased body from the tree.
“It’s horrific, it’s horrible, I’m a little shook,” said neighbor Kelly Hollingsworth.
Another trimmer fell off the tree when the branch came down, and he was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“It was just everything, EMS, police, everybody was there,” Hollingsworth explained.
The homeowner said the young man worked for B and G Lawn and lawn Care.
The Sheriff’s Office said they aren’t releasing any names of the victims until family has been notified.
