Officer hospitalized after T-bone crash in West Palm Beach

An officer with the West Palm Beach Police Department was involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Executive Center Drive.

At around 4:45 p.m., while heading to a call for an armed disturbance the officer was heading northbound with lights and sirens activated when he collided with a vehicle going eastbound on Executive Center Drive.

The crash sent the other vehicle into a pole and and into an unoccupied parked vehicle along the 400 block of Congress.

No injuries were reported to the second vehicle however the officer was transported to St. Mary’s Medical for non-life threatening injuries.
