Okaloosa County man in critical condition after traffic accident on U.S. Highway 4

One man is injured, and another is in jail after an accident on Highway 4 in Okaloosa County over the weekend.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, on Sunday around 7:30 p.m., 36-year-old Kyle Brandon Frazier was driving south on U.S. Highway 4 approaching the intersection of Gulliver Cutoff at an extremely high rate of speed.

The other driver, an 18-year-old from Pensacola was turning left from Gulliver Cutoff onto northbound U.S. Highway 4 when he turned into the path of Frazier. The front of Frazier’s vehicle hit the driver’s side of the other vehicle.

The 18-year-old was airlifted to a trauma center in Pensacola. Frazier has been arrested for Driving Under the Influence with Serious Bodily Injury and Reckless Driving with Serious Bodily Injury, officials said.
