A person was found dead inside a vehicle after it caught fire in a North Naples parking lot early Sunday morning.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident. The fire happened around 3 a.m. in the parking lot of Chase Bank at 2480 Vanderbilt Beach Road.
The North Collier Fire & Rescue District also responded to the fire. The vehicle was on fire when they arrived before it was extinguished by crews. After the fire was extinguished, crews identified a body in the vehicle, the fire district said.
This is an active investigation. The sheriff’s office said they don’t believe it is suspicious.
