A man died after he was involved in a Saturday night crash on US-1, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the man was a passenger in a sedan traveling south on US-1, south of New Kings Road. Meanwhile, an SUV was traveling north on US-1 when the two vehicles crashed into each other, causing the sedan to cross the grass median into the southbound lanes.
The man was declared dead at the scene and FHP has not released any information on their identity other than his gender. The agency added that he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
FHP said the drivers of each vehicle, a 73-year-old woman and a 28-year-old woman, are in critical condition.
The crash closed the northbound and southbound lanes of New Kings Road while the agency completed its investigation, but it has since reopened.
