One man was killed following a crash at the intersection of S.R. 776 and Sunnybrook Boulevard in Charlotte County.
It happened Monday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol a dump truck traveling west on 776 failed to stop at the intersection and ran a red light.
The dump truck collided with the driver of a pickup truck.
The driver of the pick up truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
