One person hurt in motorcycle wreck in Lake Park

One person was injured late Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Lake Park.

According to Palm Beach Fire Rescue (PBFR), the motorcycle collided with a car on North Congress Avenue, just south of the Northlake Boulevard intersection. The agency did not indicate what led to the wreck.

PBFR first responders along with a team from Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue responded to the scene around 11:10 a.m. and found one person in the roadway, its statement continued.

An image sent to CBS12 News showed the red motorcycle lying in the right-hand lane as a sedan. which appears to have suffered damage to its rear, passenger-side door, is loaded onto a tow truck.

Emergency crews rushed the individual by ambulance to an area trauma center. Law enforcement has taken over the investigation into the wreck.
