Overturned tractor trailer shuts down 3 lanes on I-95 southbound in Palm Beach Gardens

A crash involving an overturned tractor trailer has blocked three southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Palm Beach Gardens on Wednesday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the wreck happened at approximately 5:30 a.m., one mile south of the Donald Ross Road exit.

The FHP said a Freightliner semi truck , driven by a 33-year-old man from Columbia, Missouri, rear-ended a Mitsubishi Fuso tractor trailer, driven by a 31-year-old Belle Glade man, causing the Fuso to flip over.

The Freightliner lost control, jackknifed, and slammed into a concrete wall.

The driver of the Fuso was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the Freightliner was not hurt, the FHP said.

Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue also responded to this incident.
