Palm Springs police seek information on crash that killed pedestrian last month

The Palm Springs Police Department (PSPD) is turning to the public for help locating the driver involved in a crash that left a pedestrian dead in the street.

The pedestrian’s body was found by a passing driver around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, October 18, at the Lake Worth Road and Corrigan Court intersection, PSPD reported. His bicycle and backpack were found nearby as well.

No one saw the collision, investigators said; however, a different witness told them the pedestrian, who was identified as Tywon Mills, “was walking back and forth from the bus stop into traffic.”

Authorities reviewed video captured in the area that revealed a silver or gray SUV-style vehicle was in the vicinity of where Mills’ body was located.
