A 63-year-old man from Spring Hill died in a motorcycle accident on US-19 on Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 1:05 PM north of Briar Oaks Drive. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by the 63-year-old man, was traveling southbound on US-19. The motorcycle crossed the median and collided with a northbound Ford Edge.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford Edge, a 34-year-old woman from Crystal River, and a 12-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalization. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
