A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on a major Boynton Beach road over the weekend.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the pedestrian was facing southbound in the center lane of Military Trail, near the Woolbright Road intersection, on Saturday, when the vehicle came up behind him.
The vehicle struck the individual, who was pronounced dead on the scene. The name of the pedestrian was not released.
The Sheriff’s Office did not release any other details about the incident. However, their post included a reminder to people that pedestrians should be crossing in crosswalks and drivers need to stay alert while driving.
