A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in Miami, authorities confirmed.
According to Miami police, the incident was reported at 11:18 p.m. in the area of Northwest 12th Avenue and 45th Street.
Police said officers arrived at the scene to find a man who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. His condition has not yet been released.
Authorities did not immediately have a description of the vehicle nor driver who fled the scene.
