The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian in Orlando.
According to an FHP report, a woman was hit around 10:30 p.m. Sunday as she was crossing Colonial Drive near Good Homes Road. Troopers say the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk and walked into the direct path of the vehicle, which then fled the scene.
The woman was rushed to the hospital where she later died from their injuries. Following the crash, troopers located part of the vehicle from the scene.
Troopers believe the vehicle involved is a BMW 3 series model (320i, 320i X, 328d or 328d X) possibly between 2015-2017, and the vehicle should have damage to the front left fog light or front left headlight. The color of the vehicle is unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
