Pennsylvania teenager allegedly wields knife at siblings for touching iPad

A Pennsylvania teen was arrested after allegedly trying to stab her siblings with a knife and pushing her mother when confronted about it.

An officer responded to a battery at an undisclosed Lake County residence around 6:43 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, he met with one of two victims outside of the residence.

The first victim explained that her sister, 18-year-old JK R, and their brother, the second victim, just returned home from a movie theater. Their brother told them he needed to use the restroom, and Rivera ran into the restroom to prevent him from doing so. He then threatened to grab her iPad, the report said.

R came out of the restroom and began striking her brother. Her sister saw him push R off, to which the physical altercation escalated. Her sister tried to separate both parties and was struck on the neck by R in the process, the report said.

The sister struck R in the face in return, and R pushed her before returning to her own room. She came back out and began trying to grab her brother’s belongings as “payback.” They started fighting again, and the sister tried to break it up, the report said.

The sister watched her brother push R into her room and hold the door closed. R then came out of her room, went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife. She tried to stab her brother with it but was unsuccessful. The sister recorded R with the knife on her phone, the report said.

The brother was able to forcefully take the knife from R’s hand. She threatened to “kill everyone in their sleep.” He pushed her back into her room and locked the door to prevent her from getting out, the report said.

R proceeded to break items in the house. Her sister called their mother, the third victim, to come back to the house after the incident. Once she arrived, R became upset and grabbed her by the neck. Her mother struck her, and her sister broke up the fight, the report said.

The sister showed the officer her right bicep which showed a bruise about an inch and a quarter in length, the report said.

The officer then spoke to the brother. He stated he needed to use the restroom while on the way home from the movie theater. Once home, R went to the restroom knowing he had to use it. He grabbed her iPad to get her attention, and she exited the restroom yelling at him to put it down, the report said.

The brother gave the device back, and a little bit later, R came out of her room, went toward his property and threatened to break his stuff. Due to her statement and actively walking to do so, he told her to calm down and pushed her away from his belongings. She then started striking him, and he tried to hold her back, the report said.

R went back to her room before coming out again and attacking him and their sister. R next went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife and tried to stab him with it. The brother pinned her to the ground and took the knife out of her hands. He then picked her up and put her in her room until their mother returned home, the report said.

When their mother came home, she and R began fighting in her room. The brother broke up the fight. He sustained three red marks and an abrasion about two inches in length on his left bicep, the report said.

The officer next talked to R. She advised that she and her siblings had returned home from the movies when she and her brother started to argue. He was touching her iPad and told her he was going to hit her. He then struck her, and they started to fight, the report said.

The sister tried to intervene and struck R who hit her on accident while trying to hit her brother. R then grabbed a knife and told her brother she would kill him if he did not let her touch his stuff. He forcefully took the knife out of her hand and locked her in her bedroom, the report said.

Their mother came home without knowing what happened, began yelling at R and tried to hit her. R told her that she did not want to hit her because she was her mother. She then pushed her mother away from her, and her brother pushed her away, too. Her brother told her to kill herself and told their mother what happened, the report said.

R showed the officer her right bicep which had a bruise about two inches in length. Both of her forearms appeared to be red, as well, the report said.

The mother stated when she got home after picking up her boyfriend, she heard the brother and R arguing. She went into R’s room to figure out what was going on and break it up. While doing so, R grabbed her by the neck and pushed her back. She pushed R back and separated herself by exiting the residence. She then called 911, the report said.

The sister subsequently showed the officer a video in which R held a knife while approaching the brother in the living room. He grabbed her wrist in an attempt to remove the knife. He could be heard asking for help and telling her to drop the knife, the report said.

R stated, “I would stab y’all on my momma.” The brother continued to struggle with her, and the sister could be heard telling R to drop the knife. The recording then ended, the report said.

R was ultimately arrested and charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon (domestic) and three counts of simple battery (domestic). She was transported to Lake County Jail with bond set at $8,000.
