A house fire in Pensacola has left one person hospitalized on Wednesday evening, according to Escambia County Fire Rescue.

The fire started a bit after 5 p.m. at a home on Michael Drive, says ECFR. The individual was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their medical status is unknown.

ECFR says a dryer started the fire. The state fire marshal was notified.
