Pensacola man hit, killed while walking bike in roadway on Pine Forest Road

A 52-year-old Pensacola man was hit and killed while walking his bike in the roadway Saturday night in Escambia County.

It happened around 8:20 p.m. on Pine Forest Road near Jasper Street.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old Pace girl was driving her car southbound on Pine Forest Rd. approaching Jasper St.

Meanwhile, the 52-year-old man was walking his bicycle in the roadway southbound on Pine Forest Rd. approaching Jasper St.

FHP says the Pace girl “failed to see man walking southbound in the roadway.” As a result, the front of her car hit the man.
