A person was hospitalized Monday evening after a shooting in St. Petersburg, authorities said.
Police were called at about 7 p.m. to the 4400 block of Emerson Avenue South after someone reported hearing gunshots in the area.
The person who was taken to the hospital is expected to be OK, police said.
Authorities said two people in the area were detained.
No other details were immediately available.
