The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crash involving a vehicle and a motor scooter in the Loxahatchee area Monday morning.
Officials say the crash happened around 3:11 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Southern Boulevard between the Deer Run and Arden communities.
The person riding the scooter was pronounced dead on the scene.
The person driving the car was taken to Palms West Hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
As of 6:30 a.m., eastbound lanes of Southern Boulevard are still blocked as officials investigate.
