A house fire started around 8:15 p.m. on Edgemont Drive Monday, according to Escambia County Fire Rescue.
Firefighters brought the flames under control in about an hour. ECFR says a cat and dog were recovered from the home in good health.
According to ECFR, no one was harmed in the fire. An investigation into the cause of the fire is still underway.
Damage loss for the home has not been estimated yet.
