Pinellas County deputy in serious condition after crash: PCSO

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deputy-involved crash in Spring Hill.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, on Tuesday around 5:23 a.m., A propane tanker truck was traveling in reverse across the eastbound and rebound lanes of Hudson Avenue into a private driveway.

An on-duty Pinellas Sherif’s Deputy was traveling eastbound on Hudson Avenue when he collided with the tanker and traveled underneath the trailer, FHP said.

The deputy was transported to a hospital in serious condition. The driver of the tanker truck was uninjured.
