Police: 1 injured after shooting in Miami alley

Police officers and fire rescue personnel found a wounded man in an alley after a shooting on Saturday in Miami.

According to Officer Kiara Delva, a spokeswoman for the Miami Police Department, a Shot Spotter alert prompted police officers to respond to the alley in the Model City neighborhood, just south of Gladeview.

Delva also reported the man was alert and stable. Fire rescue personnel responded at about 11:40 a.m. The detective’s investigation was ongoing on Saturday afternoon.

The crime scene was near Northwest 71 Street at 15 Court. The area is home to Brewtons Market, Miracle Fry Conchfritters, Mike Spot, and A Church That Cares.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
