Police: 2 men flee after shooting man in Lauderhill

Detectives were investigating a shooting Monday after a man was injured in Lauderhill.

According to Lt. Antonio Gonzalez, a spokesman for the Lauderhill Police Department, police officers responded to the shooting after 11 a.m., at 4051 NW 19 St.

“Two suspects fired multiple rounds at an adult male victim,” Gonzalez wrote in a statement.

A bystander who was driving the victim to the hospital saw a Lauderhill Fire Rescue truck and asked for help.

“The victim was then transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment,” Gonzalez wrote adding that he was expected to survive.

Detectives asked anyone with information about the shooting to call 954-497-4700, or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
