Police: BB gun shooter injures victim during fight at Broward park

A BB gun shooter injured a victim in the face on Sunday during a fight at a public park in Broward County, police said.

Police officers responded to Flamingo Park, at 12855 NW 8 St., in Sunrise, and found the victim near a basketball courtyard. According to the Sunrise Police Department, the victim was struck in the cheek and was conscious before requiring hospitalization.

The attack remained under investigation on Sunday afternoon. Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
