Miami police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Thursday afternoon outside a popular brewery in Wynwood.
According to authorities, the stabbing was reported shortly before 1:40 p.m. outside Cerveceria La Tropical, located at 42 NE 25th St.
Sky 10 was above the scene as officers surrounded the area and were going in and out of the business.
Officer Kiara Delva, who is also a spokeswoman for the police department, said the victim was a Hispanic man in his 30s who was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
“The victim did in fact suffer from a laceration to his neck and forehead as a result of a stab wound,” Delva said.
She confirmed one person was detained for questioning.
“At this time, they (detectives) are speaking with the victim to determine exactly what may have transpired between the two,” Delva said. “It’s unknown if there was some sort of verbal dispute or if there was some sort of issue among both of them.”
Authorities said the victim and the person police detained were known to each other.
No other details were immediately released.
