Miami-Dade police are working to piece together the details of a shooting that they said involved a woman driving a minivan and a man on a motorcycle.
Authorities said the two got into an argument shortly before 2 p.m., during which the man pulled out a gun and shot the woman in her lower body near Kendall Drive and Southwest 137th Avenue.
Police told Local 10′s Christian De La Rosa that the woman is in stable condition and is expected to be OK.
Sky 10 was above the scene as the suspected shooter was being placed in handcuffs.
Residents in the area expressed their shock and concern at the scene.
“People don’t think about their actions thoroughly,” a witness said. “If he’s on a bike, he could have just kept going instead of stopping — and it’s a woman. You don’t know if she’s a mother or if she has kids.”
Investigators confirmed the man was being questioned at the police station, but no charges had been filed as of Tuesday evening.
No other details about the shooting were immediately released.
