A woman was driving with a seven-year-old in her vehicle when she side-swiped a parked car, ran over a mailbox and fled the scene.

Officers from the Port St. Lucie Police Department caught up with her they found she was driving under the influence of more than two times over the legal limit with a child in the car.

She was arrested and booked on counts of a DUI with a BAC of .15 or higher with a person under 18 years old, child neglect without great bodily harm, and a hit and run.
