Rider on electric stand-up scooter struck by vehicle in northwest Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade police are investigating an accident that occurred Thursday night, involving an electric stand-up scooter and a vehicle in northwest Miami-Dade County.

Local 10 News’ cameras observed a red SUV with a cracked windshield along Northwest 46th Street and 27th Avenue.

First responders took the man who was riding the scooter to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Detective Angel Rodriguez confirmed that the driver of the SUV remained at the scene.

It’s unclear who was at fault. The investigation remains ongoing.
