Firefighters are working to extinguish an active fire at a commercial building in Stuart that engulfed a 40-foot RV in flames.
Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews arrived at a commercial structure fire at 8:45 a.m. Sunday.
According to MCFR, a 40-foot RV was inside the building at the 7800 block of SW Jack James Drive.
An investigation of the scene revealed that the fuel load from the RV contributed to the fire’s intensity.
In a post to Facebook, Firefighters reported that they are working to ventilate the roof with multiple fire impression units at the active fire scene.
While ammunition is present inside, it is not currently a threat, per MCFR.
Responders urge the public to avoid the area at this time.
