A Santa Rosa Beach man has died after an accident on State Road 83 at Rock Hill Road in Walton County on Monday around 6:30 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 31-year-old victim was driving his truck north on SR 83 (US-331) when he failed to stop and collided with the rear of the tractor/trailer in front of him.
The driver of the truck died from injuries he sustained during the crash. The driver of the other vehicle was unharmed.
Officials said both lanes of SR 83 were blocked due to the vehicles involved and the investigation.
