Santa Rosa Beach teen dies in ATV crash

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal ATV crash in Walton County on Sunday.

According to a news release, just after 2 p.m., a Polaris ATV was traveling southbound on 184 N Eden Park Drive, off-roading in a circular open field. There were scattered large piles of concrete debris within an open dirt field.

Officials said the crash involved a 16-year-old male from Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

The vehicle overturned within a pile of concrete debris, facing on its passenger side. The driver was ejected from the vehicle facing west at final rest, officials wrote.

The next of kin has been notified.
