Santa Rosa Beach woman killed in single vehicle crash in Freeport

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash in a single-vehicle crash in Walton County on Thursday.

According to a news release, the incident happened just before 8 p.m. on Black Creek Blvd and U.S. Highway 331 in Freeport.

A 67-year-old woman from Santa Rosa Beach was driving a pickup truck westbound on Black Creek Boulevard just east of the intersection. Officials wrote that the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve to the left, traveled off the roadway, and overturned.

Troopers confirmed the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
