The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) responded to a passenger train crash on SW Amaryllis Avenue and SW Warfield Boulevard at 10:30 a.m. Firefighters reported seeing the cab of the tractor-trailer engulfed in flames.

Thankfully, none were injured, MCFR reported.

Additionally, the driver of the semi-truck was also able to escape before the collision and only suffered minor injuries. The sheriff’s office learned that the semi-truck attempted to cross the tracks when it was struck by the oncoming train.
