The northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 41 were temporarily shut down Thursday after a semi-truck became engulfed in flames in Hillsborough County.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office sent out an alert about the incident around 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9.
Officials said the highway was shut down near 12th Avenue South due to the fire. The highway was reopened by 4:30 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities said there were no injuries reported. As of Thursday afternoon, the cause of the fire was still unknown.
