A Seminole County woman was stabbed to death by her estranged boyfriend after she went on a date with another man, Sheriff D L said Friday — the same day the suspect was supposed to be in court for battery charges against the victim.
That boyfriend later died in a rollover crash in the Christmas area.
K S, 40, was killed Thursday night. L said JC L, 42, broke into her home near Chuluota, jumped on Stevens and stabbed her dozens of times after she went out on a date with a man, she met on a dating app.
The man tried to stop L but he was also stabbed. He was able to get to a nearby home to call 9-1-1. He is expected to recover.
L said L then fled the house and died in a rollover crash along Fort Christmas Road Friday morning. He was going 100 mph.
“There’s a pretty significant bend where that is,” L said. “It’s likely he was fleeing in excess of 100 miles per hour and was not anticipating that bend, took the vehicle off the road and was ejected from the vehicle. He was located at that scene.”
L said S and L were in an 18-year relationship but never married. L said the couple had a history of domestic violence, including a Nov. 6 arrest for battery against L.
An injunction was filed against L on Nov. 20. He was forced to turn in 21 firearms and ammunition, and was given a $1,000 bond.
