Several car crashes were reported on Interstate 75 south at various mile markers, causing significant delays.

Around four crashes occurred between Lee and Collier counties during the early morning hours of Tuesday.

Around mile marker 115, a crash off the left lane of I-75 south before Bonita Beach Road blocked the lane for traffic while crews worked to remove the damaged vehicle.

In Lee County, three miles south of Corkscrew Road and near mile marker 120, an off-road car was seen by the side of the highway. It is unknown how the car ended off the interstate or if any injuries occurred.

Another two crashes were reported around mile markers 116 and 117, adding to the nearly 14-mile-long backup for motorists.

It remains unclear how the crashes occurred or whether any injuries were reported.

According to WINK Morning Traffic Anchor Rachel Cox-Rosen, severe backups were reported as far back as Alico Road.
