A severe traffic crash has closed a major road in Okeechobee on Thursday.
The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said the severe crash was reported along Highway 70 West, near NE 122nd Drive.
The sheriff’s office received several calls asking if the crash involved a school bus, OCSO emphasizes that it is not the case.
The road is closed while emergency units are at the scene assessing the crash. The closure may last several hours, the sheriff’s office stated.
