FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Saint Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) crews responded to a box truck fire ignited by a shredder machine on Route 1 near 24th Street on Friday.
According to SLCFD, firefighters encountered heavy smoke, piles of paper scraps and a shredder engulfed in flames located in the truck’s cargo area.
The fire was quickly extinguished with no injuries or damage to nearby structures
