Six people were hospitalized following a crash with “multiple injuries” in Hernando County Tuesday afternoon.
According to Hernando County Fire Rescue, the crash occurred on Cortez Boulevard and Burwell Road.
Three victims were airlifted to local trauma centers, while three additional victims were taken by ambulance. The victim’s conditions are unknown at this time.
HCFR shared photos of the scene that show mutilated vehicles, with an engine lying in the middle of the roadway. Officials did not say how the crash occurred.
