Skateboarder hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in Longwood, police say.

A man on a skateboard was struck by a vehicle last week in Longwood, putting him in the hospital, according to the police department.

Police said the crash happened on Jan. 16 at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Church Avenue.

Investigators said the man was in the crosswalk when a vehicle traveling eastbound on Church Avenue made a left turn onto Ronald Reagan Boulevard, hitting the man.

There appeared to be no signs of impairment at the time of the crash, police said.

Following the crash, the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police have not yet identified the man, saying the crash is under investigation.

This is a developing story.
