A fire erupted at a recycling center in Pensacola on Tuesday night.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. at EMR Southern Recycling on 1000 South Myrick Street. Seven units from Pensacola Fire Department responded.
Flames were showing from the center of a scrap pile that was about 50’x 50′.
The fire was brought under control around 2:15 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
According to the city, employees were able to assist in using a crane to remove scrap from the burning area so crews could access it.
PFD Fire Prevention is currently investigating.
