A 65-year-old Sarasota man died late Friday after losing control on the road.
It happened near Stickney Point, where Clark Road meets Swift Road. The man was on Clark and heading east, almost to Swift, when he lost control and veered off the road.
He struck a pole, and by the time first responders arrived, had died. The crash remains under investigation.
