Spring Hill restaurant closed after catching fire Tuesday morning

SPRING HILL, Fla. (WFLA)— The Brian’s Place restaurant in Hernando Beach will be closed until repairs are completed after catching fire Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday around 3:30 a.m., the Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to the restaurant with reports of a fire.

When HCFR arrived they found fire coming from the side of the building, and an aggressive fire attack was initiated.

According to HCFR, the flames were quickly knocked down, and there was limited damage to the outside wall of the kitchen area.

During an investigation, HCFR found that the fire appeared to have started from electrical inside the wall where the fire originated.

The interior wall where the fire occurred was in the kitchen area and was lined with stainless steel which prevented the fire from spreading inside the building, crews said.

No injuries were reported and the building was unoccupied when the fire occurred.
