St. Pete Fire Rescue said they are managing the aftermath of a two-alarm debris fire at a facility in St. Pete that happened on Thursday afternoon.
Officials said crews were working on the fire at 2550 30th Avenue N. after receiving a call around 2 p.m.
St. Pete Fire said the business was evacuated and no one was injured.
Firefighters also evacuated a nearby neighborhood as a precaution due to smoke-related air quality issues.
St. Pete Fire said on Thursday evening that most of the visible smoke has cleared and the evacuation for the nearby neighborhood has been lifted.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but early reports suggest the presence of hurricane debris containing flammable insulation, motors, and batteries may have contributed to the ignition.
