A man was arrested Tuesday after intentionally crashing his pickup truck into the USAA building, according to Tampa police.

R B, 70, was denied entry to the building when he arrived at around 2:12 p.m. and demanded to speak to a USAA representative.

Police said B put on a helmet and “drove recklessly” through the parking garage, damaging fences on the property. He was accused of intentionally striking a SUV with security personnel inside.

Officers arrested Beaty on the third floor of the parking garage. No one was hurt in the incident.

B was charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, burglary of an occupied structure and criminal mischief. Police do not believe he is a former USAA employee.
