A teenage girl is in the hospital after a boat she was on went under the Palm City bridge.
According to the Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday units responded to Charlie Leighton Park after reports came in regarding an injured boater.
MCFR says they began treating a teenage girl who suffered serious injuries as the boat went under the Palm City bridge. A landing zone was established and a LifeStar was deployed.
The teen was taken to a hospital by helicopter, units say.
One more boater who may have been injured is being helped by crews, MCFR says.
