A 17-year-old girl was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon with minor injuries after a truck slammed into the parked car she was in with her sisters. The truck then crashed into a home on Coral Drive in San Carlos Park.
“My daughters were in the vehicle, and they were about to go to work,” explained Mateo Garcia, whose three daughters were in the car parked in the driveway when the truck hit them.
“One of my daughters hurt her arm. She was very scared,” Garcia said.
The extent of damage to the home is currently unknown.
“I have another car inside and they told me I can’t touch the front of the house until the insurance comes to take the report,” Garcia said.
The truck driver told NBC2 he may have had a medical episode but is unsure.
